MTCCVA welcomes you to its first ride of the year.  This ride is geared towards new and experienced riders for there is something for everyone.

This ride will vary for those who participated in the MTCCVA Winter Zwift Sessions for this ride will be gearing their legs towards outdoor cycling and simulating the varying flat and rolling events of Zwift.  For new cyclists, this venue gives you the opportunity to apply some of the Safety and Skills training taught by one of our own League Certified Instructors.

What to Expect:

Location: 18170 Park Entrance Rd, Triangle VA - Lot D

Time: 8:30 AM

Wheels Down: 9:00 AM

The group will ride counter-clockwise at a moderate pace stretching their legs for outdoor riding for the first time of the new year.  Beginners will be able to practice shifting for descents and climbs as well as holding their "line" in a pace line to Lot H. Our Winter training riders will have the opportunity to complete the Prince William Forest Loop.

Prince William Forest Park is a 9-mile park loop called Scenic Drive which begins at the Visitor Center 2 miles into the park.  Two in a half miles from the Visitor Center begins the 7-mile loop which the club will cut in half for early season riding from Lot D to Lot H and back.  Cyclists will be able to complete 15 - 30 miles as a group applying these miles to your 75 - 100 that you are looking to complete weekly to prepare for our Metric or More Miles weekends starting with the Capital Trail Ride in May.
