Major Taylor Cycling Club of Virginia Capital Trail Ride

Join MTCCVA member Vernon J on the Capital Trail in Richmond for a few miles to get in shape for the 100 or 50 mile Cap2Cap ride on May 10th.

Address Location: 3101 Wharf St, Richmond, VA 23223

*** Please, register and park at the University of Richmond Fishing Dock  to meet up with Vernon J.

Pre-Ride Instructions: 6:30 - 6:50 AM

Wheels Down: 7:00 AM

This ride is along the Capital Trail where no cyclists should get lost.  Its early in the season and this is the opportunity to get in shape for the MTCCVA Metric or More Weekends that start with the Cap2Cap ride May 10th.  Check in points will be established during the Pre-Ride Instructions on location and total distance each rider anticipates riding to build your cycling endurance for the annual Capital Trail ride.

Please be prompt for our time is valuable and our rides start on time.  There will be some participants that will have shorter routes because of their physical conditioning; but will be cheered and rewarded when they are recognized for their personal gains after each ride and the end of the year.

If you have routes that you would like to see incorporated in MTCCVA's Building Base Miles and Weekend Metrics or More; please send an email to mtccva@majortaylorva.org. Please include the following for research:

1. Ride with GPS Turn by Turn map

2. Time of Day ride is to begin

3. Rest Stop Locations

5. Distance

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday morning starting at 8:00 AM for bike check and route instructions with Wheels going down at 8:30. If you are late; please look to ride the trail to get your miles in for this is for you to work on your fitness.  We look to take account for our family members out on the road to start and finish safely with accountability of one another.
